PRINCETON, TX — A 41-year-old Princeton man has been sentenced to life in prison after a Collin County jury convicted him of sexually assaulting his 17-year-old daughter and fathering her child, prosecutors announced.
Leslie Price received the maximum penalty of Life in Prison for Prohibited Sexual Conduct. The sentence was handed down by Judge Kimberly Laseter following a trial that featured conclusive DNA and digital forensic evidence.
Delayed Outcry and Digital Evidence
The investigation began on September 10, 2024, when Amarillo Police responded to a delayed outcry of sexual assault. The 17-year-old victim reported that her father, Price, had sexually assaulted her while she was living with him at his residence in Princeton. At the time of her report to law enforcement, the victim was three months pregnant.
Following a forensic interview, Amarillo authorities transferred jurisdictional control of the case to the Princeton Police Department, leading to Price's prompt arrest.
During the investigation, Princeton detectives seized two of Price’s mobile phones. A forensic audit of the devices revealed highly incriminating Google search queries, including searches asking if a 17-year-old could get pregnant, ways for a daughter to obtain an abortion, and questions regarding the age of consent in Texas.
DNA Confirmation and Prior Criminal History
The victim gave birth in March 2025. Princeton Police subsequently obtained court-ordered DNA samples from Price, the victim, and the infant. Laboratory testing conclusively proved that Price was the biological father of both his daughter and his granddaughter.
At trial, prosecutors presented the DNA findings to the jury, who rapidly found Price guilty of Prohibited Sexual Conduct.
During the subsequent punishment phase, Assistant Criminal District Attorneys Kathryn Burgess and Mollie Thompson introduced evidence of Price’s criminal history. Records showed Price had prior prison sentences for Assault Family Violence and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. Based on the severity of the crime and his prior record, Judge Laseter assessed the absolute maximum punishment allowed under state law.
