On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, 20-year-old Kendahl Dnaye Williams was arrested by Irving Police officers for her role in a June 7th aggravated robbery and shooting at the Irving Waffle House located at Irving Blvd and Loop 12.
On the morning of the incident, three victims were shot in the Waffle House parking lot and transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital. According to the arrest affidavit provided by Irving PD, surveillance footage and cell phone data revealed that Williams’ black 2023 Chrysler 300 was used to follow and ambush the victims after they left a birthday celebration at local nightclubs. One of the victims, identified in the arrest affidavit as Johnson, had posted videos on Instagram flashing large amounts of cash the night before.
The suspects followed Johnson from a Dallas apartment to the Waffle House. Surveillance footage showed five individuals exiting the black Chrysler 300 and opening fire on the victims as they approached their car. Johnson was seen falling to the ground. Two of the suspects ran to him, searched his pant pockets and stole his cash and cell phone before fleeing.
Later that morning, at 9:23 a.m., Dallas Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle fire at 4880 Beeman Ave, where they found the Chrysler 300 intentionally set ablaze. Williams had reported the vehicle stolen to Dallas Police earlier that day. However, inconsistencies in her report and location data from her cell phone placed her with the vehicle at key times throughout the night and during the fire.
A forensic review of Williams’ cell and social media records revealed she had coordinated rides and falsely claimed her vehicle had been stolen. Investigators determined she had knowingly allowed her car to be used in the robbery and helped destroy evidence by being present when it was set on fire.
Below we provide a detailed breakdown of the investigation showing the amazing job done by Irving Police detectives in this case.
