On July 19, 2025, at approximately 3:25 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting in the 3500 block of Wilhurt Avenue near East Illinois Avenue in the Cedar Crest neighborhood.
Upon arrival, officers located 29-year-old Isaiah McWilliams suffering from a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported McWilliams to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The incident remains under investigation and is documented under case number 102558-2025.
