FORT WORTH, TX – The Fort Worth Police Department has arrested two men in connection with a deadly collision on Saturday, July 19, 2025, that resulted in one fatality and two injuries.
At approximately 3:07 p.m., officers responded to the 5500 block of E. Lancaster Avenue, where they found a deceased victim and a vehicle that had crashed into a building. The Traffic Investigation Unit determined that two vehicles were traveling westbound on E. Lancaster at a high rate of speed. One of the drivers lost control, striking a bus stop and three people before crashing into the building.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others sustained minor injuries. The victim was identified as 68-year-old Inez Caldwell Blair.
The suspects have been identified as:

De'tavius Hayes, 24, arrested on July 22nd and charged with Collision Involving Death and an Out-of-Town Warrant from Dallas County for a Stolen Vehicle. Bond set at $75,000.

Deovion Alexander, 22, arrested on July 21st and charged with Collision Involving Death. His bond was set at $75,000.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
