Fort Worth Police Investigate Homicide After Two Teens Found Shot at Party

FORT WORTH, TX – The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a homicide after two teenagers were found fatally shot early Monday morning, July 21, 2025, in the 7100 block of Avington Way in South Fort Worth.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., South Division officers responded to a shots fired call at a residence where an advertised party was being held. Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims who had sustained apparent gunshot wounds.

The first victim, identified as Logan Thomas Cantrell, 18, had been carried to the roadway by witnesses. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel. A short distance away, officers found a second victim, 19-year-old Emiliano Israel Serna, in a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the neck/throat area. He was also pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to detectives, an altercation between Cantrell and a suspect escalated, resulting in the first shooting. The suspect then fled the scene. A second shooting involving Serna took place moments later nearby, and detectives are working to determine if the same suspect is responsible for both shootings.

No arrests have been made at this time as Fort Worth PD Homicide Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
