Fort Worth Police to Redraw Beat Boundaries Starting August 9

FORT WORTH, Texas — Beginning August 9, the Fort Worth Police Department will implement changes to several patrol beat boundaries across the city in response to continued population growth and shifting demands on law enforcement resources.

The department regularly adjusts beat lines to better allocate officers and balance call volumes. While some established neighborhoods will see minimal changes, others—particularly in the rapidly expanding far Northwest area—will experience more significant adjustments. This includes the creation of new beats and the resizing of existing ones to reflect the surge in new housing and apartment developments.

These changes may also affect which patrol division or Neighborhood Patrol Officer (NPO) is assigned to a given area. Residents and businesses can identify their updated NPO by using the city’s OneAddress online tool. By entering a street address and expanding the “Neighborhoods” section, users can access the NPO’s name and contact number.

City officials encourage the public to stay informed and engaged as these updates take effect.
