1.  What are your qualifications and experience that will make you an effective member of the School Board?

I have BS and MS In Engineering, I ran an engineering company as CEO for 20 years. I have skills in management, very good in planning, budgeting and manpower organization. As engineer I am problem solver, team player and always look for better way to do it. I lived in USA since 1966.

2. What policies will you initiate and support to decrease the dropout rates in your school district?

As always it is family situations that sometimes contribute to drop out. l like to communicate with families and students and understand the situation, encourage student to stay in school. If environment is cause of the drop out then that has to be addressed. In social and economical
situation and family need might be a cause of the drop out and that family can solve it.

3. What priorities in spending will you support in light of the reduced funding experienced by all Texas school districts? 

Thanks to our superintendent we have passed that point. This year there will be merit raises for teachers and staff. In my last year campaign, I promoted rental of the school’s facilities. Now that program is generating good amount of the revenue. This will help school financial need. Now I like to promote NET ZERO “GO GREEN PROGRAM. This program will save energy and operating cost for years to come.

4. What initiatives will you support to ensure that teacher morale and working conditions are good?

I support for STAR program and help teacher implement it without losing any teaching time and student learning time. I like to reward good teachers for their valuable contribution and dedication.

5. What initiatives will you support to meet the needs of many students for vocational training?

SIGNATURE PROGRAM will be promoted more and will make known to parents for them to take advantage. I will invite industry leader/employers to support our program.

6. What do you see as the top two pressing issues for your School District and what are your solutions or recommendations?

Pay raises, superintendent’s contract extension. Let us find good hard working teachers and staff and reward them and also cost of living expenses adjustments. Support our superintendent for his vision who avoid difficult time last year and also his vision to carry us forward.
