The Dallas Police Department’s Special Investigations Division (SID) Organized Crime & Racketeering Squad seized approximately 179,081.7 grams (about 398 pounds) of marijuana from a storage facility in the 4300 block of Communications Drive on August 6, 2025.
The operation followed a tip about a shipment of marijuana being prepared for transport to Dallas. After establishing probable cause, detectives obtained and executed a search warrant at the location.
Zhenqi Lin, 47, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana between 50 and 2,000 pounds, a second-degree felony.
Major Yancey Nelson, SID commander, called the seizure “a significant success” in efforts to remove drugs from the streets.
The investigation involved collaboration among SID detectives, uniform officers from Southwest Patrol and CRT, and the K9 Unit.
