Dallas Police Arrest Suspects in Northeast Dallas Armed Robbery String

Dallas, TX – Towards the end of August 2025, a string of armed robberies in Northeast Dallas left residents on edge. Dallas Police Robbery Unit detectives, working alongside Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN), meticulously connected the cases and uncovered critical evidence that led to arrests.

After reviewing multiple robbery reports and surveillance footage, detectives identified 19-year-old Jontae Anderson as the primary suspect. A warrant for his arrest and the search of his premises was issued. On September 1, 2025, a coordinated operation involving PSN, Northeast C.R.T., and SWAT officers resulted in the arrest of Anderson and his associate, 21-year-old Curtis Carter.

During the search, officers seized:

  • A short-barreled Radical Firearms AR-15 rifle with a 60-round magazine

  • A Taurus pistol with extended magazines

  • A Taurus pistol with a regular capacity magazine

  • A Glock pistol with extended magazine

  • 218 rounds of various pistol and rifle calibers

  • A stolen purse linked to one of the robberies

Anderson has been charged with Aggravated Robbery, a first-degree felony, with multiple additional robbery charges pending. Carter was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants, including Indecent Exposure, Evading Arrest, and two probation violations related to Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.

“Our detectives and officers are relentless in their goal to keep Dallas safe,” said Deputy Chief William Griffith. “Criminals may think they are getting away with crimes, but our message is simple: we will find you and we will arrest you.”
