IRVING, Texas—The Big 12 Conference and Allstate have announced a new, multi-year partnership that will launch the Allstate Championship Series. This innovative, year-round platform is designed to celebrate Big 12 Championships and recognize the achievements of student-athletes both on and off the field.
The Allstate Championship Series will serve as the pathway to the Allstate Commissioner’s Cup, an annual award given to the Big 12 school that accumulates the most points based on performance in conference championships, graduation rates, academic and student services, and community engagement.
Under the agreement, Allstate will be the presenting sponsor for all Big 12 Olympic sport championships. The insurance company will also have significant integration across the conference's major events, including the Big 12 Football Championship and the Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships. The partnership includes digital and in-venue branding at all Big 12 Championships, the creation of original content highlighting student-athlete leadership, and Allstate's designation as the Official Insurance Partner of the Big 12 Conference.
Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, "The Allstate Championship Series and the Allstate Commissioner’s Cup is a celebration of our student-athletes and their success on and off the field. We’re proud to team up with Allstate to create something that’s never been done before in college athletics, and we look forward to having the Allstate brand integrated into each Big 12 Championship."
Elizabeth Brady, Allstate's chief marketing, customer, and communications officer, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that the partnership is "all about student-athletes." She added, "The Allstate Championship Series breaks new ground in college athletics by creating a year-round platform for every sport."
This new initiative also coincides with the 20th anniversary of the Allstate Good Hands® Nets program, which has provided millions in scholarships to student-athletes. Allstate's commitment to student-athletes is further demonstrated through its long-standing partnership with the Good Works Team®, which honors student-athletes for their character and community involvement.
