PLANO, TX — On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Plano Police officers and Plano Fire Rescue personnel responded to a major crash at the intersection of northbound Dallas Parkway and West Plano Parkway.
Upon arrival, first responders located a 27-year-old male driver unconscious inside a black Toyota Camry. Despite lifesaving measures by Plano Fire Rescue, the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. He has been identified as Austin McCutcheon, of Addison, Texas.
According to the preliminary investigation, the Camry was traveling northbound on Dallas Parkway when it ran a red light at West Plano Parkway and struck a blue Dodge Dart in the intersection. The Camry then continued forward and collided with a traffic signal pole, causing catastrophic damage to the vehicle’s passenger compartment.
The driver of the Dodge Dart, a 38-year-old female, did not report any injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Plano Police Department Traffic Unit.
