Dallas Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Saturday morning, September 20, 2025, in the Bonton neighborhood near the Texas Buckeye Trail.
Officers responded to the 2700 block of Donald Street around 9:15 a.m. and found 26-year-old Calan Gilbert unresponsive. Dallas Fire-Rescue arrived but Gilbert died at the scene.
Police arrested 22-year-old Marko Chavez, who has been charged with Murder.
