Dallas Police Seize Marijuana, Guns, and Cash in Major South Dallas Operation

DALLAS, TX — A major narcotics investigation in South Dallas ended with four arrests and the seizure of more than 50 kilograms of marijuana, multiple firearms, and nearly $30,000 in cash, the Dallas Police Department announced.

On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, detectives with the Special Investigations Division executed simultaneous search warrants at two locations in the south Oak Cliff area. The operation, which involved SWAT, the Gang Unit, UAS Squad, and officers from South Central and Southwest Patrol divisions, resulted in the recovery of 56,467 grams of marijuana, seven firearms, and $28,436 in currency.

Four suspects were arrested and face felony drug and firearm charges:

  • Trayvione Williams, 20 — Possession of Marijuana between 50 and 2,000 pounds (2nd-degree felony); Unlawful Possession of a Firearm as a Documented Gang Member (Class A misdemeanor).

  • Tarrion Babbles, 24 — Possession of Marijuana between 4 ounces and 5 pounds in a Drug Free Zone (3rd-degree felony); Failure to Identify (Class B misdemeanor); and multiple outstanding warrants, including Aggravated Robbery.

  • Marquise Williams, 28 — Possession of Marijuana between 4 ounces and 5 pounds in a Drug Free Zone (3rd-degree felony).

  • Revelation Smith-Jefferson, 23 — Possession of Marijuana between 4 ounces and 5 pounds (state jail felony); arrested on a warrant for Robbery.

The Dallas Police Department says the investigation is ongoing and emphasized its commitment to targeting drug trafficking and criminal enterprises across the city.
