DALLAS — A 26-year-old woman was killed in a shooting Tuesday evening in the Cedar Crest neighborhood, according to the Dallas Police Department.
On September 23, 2025, around 5:40 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 2600 block of Wilhurt Avenue. When they arrived, they found Destinee Police, 26, who had been shot. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Dallas Fire-Rescue.
Investigators identified 23-year-old Jalance Lane as the suspect. An arrest warrant for Murder has been issued for Lane, who remains at large.
