DALLAS, TX – A shooting in the early hours of Monday, September 29, 2025, left one man dead in the Cedar Crest area of Dallas.
Dallas Police responded around 1:40 a.m. to a call at the 99 Cent Sams Store in the 700 block of Ann Arbor Avenue near S. Marsalis Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel from Dallas Fire Rescue arrived, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has been identified by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office as 24-year-old James Anthony Harris.
