EULESS – On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at about 8:07 a.m., Euless police responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 1400 block of Raider Drive.
Officers learned that an adult woman had been injured and taken to a local hospital by an acquaintance. Meanwhile, the suspect remained barricaded inside the apartment, prompting nearby schools—including Central Junior High, KEYS High School, and the HEBISD DAEP campus—to be placed on secure as a precaution.
The North East Tarrant County Area SWAT Team (NETCAST) and crisis negotiators responded, attempting multiple times to make contact. After no surrender, officers eventually located a 35-year-old man inside the apartment, deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Euless Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident. Authorities confirmed the secure measures at the schools have since been lifted and said there is no ongoing threat to the community.
