GARLAND – Detectives with the Garland Police Department have charged two juveniles in connection with a burglary attempt at Lateral Limits gun store.
Just after 3 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, officers responded to a burglary in progress at 5219 Broadway Boulevard. When police arrived, they found that a large moving truck had been driven into the front of the storefront. Surveillance video showed several suspects fleeing the scene in multiple passenger vehicles. No property was stolen during the incident.
A Garland detective working the case later developed critical leads, including a connection to a burglary attempt in Lewisville later the same morning. Two juveniles were arrested in that case, and further investigation linked them to the Garland burglary. Based on the evidence, detectives charged a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old, both from Dallas, with Burglary of a Building.
The suspects are being held at the Denton County Juvenile Detention Center. Their names and photographs have not been released due to their age.
Garland detectives are continuing to work with surrounding law enforcement agencies to identify additional suspects, and more charges may follow.
