KEENE, Texas - The Keene Police Department is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Thursday evening at the intersection of Business Highway 67 and County Road 317.
Police said officers, along with multiple assisting agencies, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel, responded to the scene around 7:55 p.m. on May 21 after receiving reports of a crash involving injuries.
Emergency crews provided medical treatment to those involved while officers secured the area and began investigating the collision.
Authorities said a 36-year-old Fort Worth man involved in the crash was transported to Hughley Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The intersection remained closed for an extended period as investigators documented the scene and crews worked to clear the roadway safely.
Police said the crash remains under investigation. Additional details, including the identities and conditions of others involved, may be released after family notifications are completed and the investigation progresses.
