FORT WORTH, Texas – A domestic disturbance turned deadly Tuesday night, October 21, at the Infinity on the Landing Apartments located at 3720 Post Oak Blvd, near the Fort Worth/Euless border.
Fort Worth Police say officers were dispatched around 9:07 p.m. after reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found 23-year-old Casandra Emilia Majano inside her apartment with a gunshot wound to the head. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene at 9:29 p.m.
Witnesses reported seeing a large police presence in the area, with multiple units responding and a helicopter circling overhead as officers searched for the suspect.
Detectives determined that Majano had been shot by her boyfriend, 28-year-old Nelson Garcia, during an argument inside the apartment. Garcia fled immediately after the shooting but later contacted police, admitting to the crime. He was located and arrested in Irving a short time later without further incident.
Garcia has been charged with murder and booked into the Tarrant County Jail.
The Fort Worth Police Department’s Homicide Unit continues to investigate the case.
