FORT WORTH, Texas - Fort Worth police are investigating an early morning shooting that left two men seriously injured following a robbery attempt in the South Edgewood neighborhood.
Around 4:59 a.m. on Sunday, October 26, officers were called to the 3300 block of S. Hughes Avenue, near E. Berry Street, after reports of gunfire. When police arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, one shot in the lower face and the other in the thigh.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
According to police, the victims told investigators that a group of men approached them and demanded their valuables. When one of the victims refused, the suspects opened fire before fleeing the scene.
Detectives are continuing to investigate and have not released suspect descriptions at this time.
UPDATE: Two have been arrested in the robbery that turned into a shooting. 18-year-old Seth Ray Stogdill and 19-year-old Sergio Galarza Rodriguez were taken into custody and transported to the Tarrant County Jail. They are charged with four counts of Aggravated Robbery and a bond of $100,000 has been set.
