Grand Prairie police arrested 25-year-old Courtlon Allen of Fort Worth following a Sunday night shooting that left a man dead.
Officers responded around 10:00 p.m. on November 9 to the 1300 block of Daja Lane, where they found a male inside a residence with a gunshot wound. Medics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Allen, who fled before police arrived, was located nearby and taken into custody. Investigators said the suspect and victim knew each other, and an altercation between them escalated, leading to the shooting.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the victim’s identity after next of kin have been notified.
