Grand Prairie police responded Sunday evening to a welfare check that led to the discovery of two deceased adults.
Officers were called around 6:30 p.m. on November 9th to a residence in the 400 block of E. Tarrant Road in West Grand Prairie after relatives reported not hearing from the occupants for an extended period. Upon arrival, officers found an adult female with an apparent gunshot wound and an adult male with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Both were pronounced dead at the scene by medics.
Investigators say the couple was married, and the incident is being treated as a family violence murder-suicide.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identities of the deceased once next of kin have been notified.
