Early Tuesday morning, November 25th, Plano Patrol Officers and Fire-Rescue responded to a serious single-vehicle crash near East Plano Parkway and K Avenue. At approximately 12:45 a.m., a red Kenworth tractor with a flatbed trailer was traveling westbound when it drove over the curb, entered the landscaped shoulder, struck a sign, and came to rest.
The driver, later identified as 55-year-old Juan Felix Garcia Gil from La Porte, Texas, was found unresponsive and transported to a local hospital by Fire-Rescue, where he was pronounced deceased.
Preliminary investigation indicates that speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash. The Plano Police Department’s Traffic Division is conducting a full investigation.
