Dallas Police Chief David C. Comeaux terminated two department employees following disciplinary hearings held on December 1, 2025.
Police Officer Trainee III Adrian Alcorta, assigned to the Southeast Division, was fired after his arrest for Assault Family Violence – Offensive Contact, a Class C misdemeanor. Investigators determined he assaulted a family member, which the department classified as adverse conduct. Alcorta joined DPD in April 2023.
In a separate case, Police Officer Scott Simpson from the Central Division was also terminated. Simpson was arrested for the unauthorized release of body camera footage, a Class A misdemeanor. The investigation additionally found that he used a confidential investigative database to run searches for reasons unrelated to police business. Simpson had been with the department since November 2019.
The Dallas Police Department said both decisions reflect its commitment to accountability and maintaining public trust.
