DALLAS, TX - The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of Detention Service Officer Dakendrick Traylor, who was killed earlier this week in an off-duty motorcycle accident.
The Sheriff’s Office confirmed it received information that DSO Traylor was involved in the crash and died as a result of his injuries. Details surrounding the accident have not been released.
DSO Traylor was assigned to the Special Hospital Observation Team and also served as a member of the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard, roles that reflected his dedication and service to the department.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this incredibly difficult time,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. “DSO Traylor will be deeply missed by his sheriff’s office family.”
The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office extended its condolences to Traylor’s loved ones and colleagues as they grieve his passing.
