According to a City of Irving press release, Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne cancelled the Irving City Council Special Meeting that was scheduled for 5:30 p.m., August 2nd.
The meeting was original proposed to address the controversial Entertainment Center Project and its funding.
"We are still operating under the current contract, and the current contract precludes us from discussing new agreements or terms,” said Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne. “In that the Las Colinas Group continues to publically threaten litigation, I have decided to cancel the meeting. I want to ensure we protect our residents and do what is in the best interest of the city of Irving."
