Man Killed in Parker County After 2,500-Pound Concrete Trough Falls During Unloading

PARKER COUNTY, Texas - A man was killed Monday afternoon when a concrete cattle feed trough fell on him during an unloading operation, authorities said.

Parker County Emergency Services District 6 responded at approximately 5:06 p.m. on Dec. 30 to a report of a person trapped by falling concrete in the area of Old Tin Top Road in Weatherford. Responders determined that the concrete structure, estimated to weigh about 2,500 pounds, had fallen from a flatbed 18-wheeler trailer while being unloaded and struck the individual.

Despite efforts by first responders, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Parker County Sheriff’s Office and the Parker County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the incident. Authorities have not released further details.
