The Fort Worth Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects involved in a robbery that occurred on December 9 at a business located in the 4200 block of South Freeway.
According to investigators, at approximately 4 p.m., two suspects entered the store and brought items to the register. While the victim looked down at the register, one of the suspects grabbed a gold necklace and pendant from the victim’s neck. Both suspects then fled the store on foot.
The victim followed the suspects into the parking lot, where one of the suspects turned, reached toward his waistband, and threatened to shoot if the victim continued the chase. Believing the suspect may have been armed, the victim stopped pursuing them. The suspects were last seen running east across the E. Seminary Drive bridge over I-35.
Approximately one hour later, in the 1100 block of Debbie Drive, two individuals were observed acting suspiciously around a residence where they were not known to live. A witness took photos of the individuals, and police believe the people pictured may be the same suspects involved in the robbery.
The suspects are described as Black males between 17 and 21 years old. One suspect has long dreadlocks and was wearing a dark-colored hoodie with large designs on the front and back, along with red pants. The second suspect has shorter dreadlocks and was wearing a dark-colored warm-up jacket with stripes on the sleeves, faded jeans, and a fanny-pack style bag worn across his chest.
Anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the suspects is urged to contact Detective Raynsford with the Fort Worth Police Robbery Unit at 817-392-4469 or 817-944-5350.
