Fort Worth Woman Dies After Head Injury; Police Investigating Homicide

FORT WORTH, Texas – Fort Worth police are investigating the death of a woman found with a head injury in East Fort Worth.

On Monday, January 5, 2026, officers from the East Division responded to a residence on the 6400 block of Normandy Road near E. Loop 820 and Meadowbrook Drive. The victim was located inside the home and transported to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday, January 6.

Homicide detectives are leading the investigation. Police say preliminary evidence indicates the incident was isolated, and there are no known threats to the community at this time.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official cause and manner of death and confirm the identity of the victim.
