Irving Cares Receives 40K Lbs of Food from Mercury One

Mercury One, a nonprofit started by Glenn Beck, delivered nearly 40,000 pounds of food Monday to Irving Cares. The non-profit chose Irving Cares based on its own research and Irving Cares was pleasantly surprised to find it was one of only 12 nonprofits nationwide to receive a donation from Mercury One. Beck’s show is based at The Studios at Las Colinas. Kyle Taylor, coordinator of volunteers for Irving Cares, worked directly with Mercury One staff to make the delivery work smoothly. The donations come at a good time since Irving Cares has seen a major increase in demand for its services. Volunteers from Irving North Christian Church, Teen Court, and Irving Cares all pitched in to accept the food.
