Fort Worth, Texas - A Tarrant County jury has sentenced a 44-year-old man to 30 years in prison after finding him guilty of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, prosecutors said.
Pathom Madane Daniels was convicted earlier this week following an investigation that began May 8, 2024, when Fort Worth narcotics officers executed a search warrant at a motel room where Daniels was staying. According to authorities, officers recovered cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and a firearm inside the room.
Prosecutors said Daniels qualified as a habitual offender, citing a criminal history that includes prior convictions for murder, possession of controlled substances, and theft. That history was presented to jurors during the punishment phase of the trial.
The investigation was conducted by the Fort Worth Police Department, and the case was prosecuted by the Narcotics Unit of the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office.
Jurors ultimately returned a 30-year prison sentence, which Daniels will serve in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
