DALLAS, Texas - A repeat burglary offender has been taken off the streets of downtown Dallas following an arrest tied to multiple outstanding felony warrants.
On Monday, January 27, 2026, officers with the Dallas Police Department arrested Roderick Rogers, 52, who was wanted on a total of seven felony warrants connected to burglary offenses. Police confirmed Rogers was actively on probation at the time of his arrest for prior burglary-related cases.
According to investigators, Rogers was wanted on five felony warrants for Burglary of a Building, along with two probation violation warrants, both stemming from earlier burglary convictions. Officers located Rogers in the Central Business District, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Rogers was transported to the Dallas County Jail, where he was booked on all outstanding warrants.
Authorities say the arrest is part of a broader effort to address repeat offenders impacting downtown businesses and residents.
“The dedication of our officers, combined with our ongoing partnership with Downtown Dallas Inc., plays a critical role in addressing repeat criminal activity,” said Major John Madison, commander of the Central Business Division.
Police emphasized that removing repeat burglary suspects like Rogers helps improve safety and quality of life in the Central Business District, as enforcement efforts continue.
