Man Arrested in Denton Tied to Locker Room Trespass, Indecent Exposure Cases at UNT and TWU

Jeremiah Devereaux

DENTON, Texas — The Denton Police Department has arrested a 27-year-old man accused in a series of incidents involving women’s restrooms and locker rooms in Denton, including cases connected to the University of North Texas and Texas Woman’s University.

On Saturday, Jan. 31, officers responded to the 1300 block of S. Loop 288 for a reported criminal trespass. Witnesses told police that Jeremiah O'Brien Devereaux entered the women’s locker room, sauna and bathroom at a local gym before running from the scene. Officers later located him and took him into custody on an outstanding theft warrant.

During the investigation, Denton police learned that UNT police were investigating an indecent exposure case that occurred Friday, Jan. 30. In that incident, a suspect allegedly exposed himself to a woman inside a campus restroom. After working the case, UNT police identified Devereaux as the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest.

Police also confirmed Devereaux was arrested in January 2025 in a separate incident at TWU. In that case, he was charged with criminal trespass and resisting arrest after allegedly attempting to follow a female student into a bathroom stall.

Devereaux is currently being held in the Denton County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
