Juvenile Charged After Gunfire Damages Vehicle in Corinth Neighborhood

CORINTH, Texas - A juvenile male has been arrested and charged after gunfire struck a vehicle in a Corinth neighborhood this week, police said.

Officers with the Corinth Police Department responded Wednesday evening, February 11, to reports of gunshots in the 1000 block of Meadows Drive. Officers canvassed the area and conducted a thorough search but did not locate any immediate suspicious activity.

On Thursday afternoon, February 12, continued investigative efforts led officers to identify and locate the victim and the vehicle involved. Police said the vehicle had been struck multiple times by gunfire, but the owner was not injured.

Later Thursday evening, officers executed a search warrant at the juvenile suspect’s residence, where he was taken into custody. He has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

The investigation remains ongoing.
