IRVING, TX - After a strong community response to its first Irving event, Green Acres Nursery & Supply is bringing its Houseplant Festival back to the area by popular demand on Saturday, February 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The one-day festival invites plant lovers to refresh, rebuild, and celebrate their indoor plant collections.
Designed for everyone from experienced plant parents to first-time buyers, the festival will once again transform the nursery into a lively, plant-forward destination. Guests can enjoy 20% off houseplants, indoor décor, and decorative pottery during the event, along with 10% off all purchases throughout the entire month of February at both the Melissa and Irving locations.
With recent freezing temperatures impacting plants across the Dallas–Fort Worth area, the Houseplant Festival offers the perfect opportunity to replace cold-damaged greenery and start fresh indoors. Green Acres’ plant experts will be available throughout the day to help guests select the right plants and provide care tips for recovery and long-term success.
A local DJ will set the festival vibe, while guests ages 21 and over can enjoy complimentary mimosas from Double R Mobile Bar, Texas’ signature horse trailer bar. The first 200 mimosas are free, with additional beverages and brunch-style offerings available for purchase.
Festival experiences include the Planting Bar Happy Hour, where select plants will be potted at no extra charge, and the Custom Soil Station, allowing guests to create a potting mix tailored to specific plant needs. Attendees can also participate in Terrarium Building, designing a personalized miniature indoor garden using layered soil, stones, and curated plants.
