DENTON COUNTY, Texas - A Bartonville man has been arrested following an investigation into the alleged removal and abuse of human remains from a local cemetery.
On March 18, 2026, investigators with the Bartonville Police Department, along with FBI special agents and task force officers, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of Oakwood Drive.
Following the operation, authorities took Michael Chadwick Fry into custody.
According to investigators, the case began after law enforcement received credible information that Fry had unlawfully removed human remains from a cemetery and abused them.
Fry has been charged with abuse of a corpse, a state jail felony under Texas law.
Officials say the investigation remains active and ongoing, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
