Fort Worth Officer Shoots Armed Suspect During Domestic Disturbance Call

FORT WORTH, Texas — A man is in critical condition after being shot by a Fort Worth police officer during a domestic disturbance call Wednesday night, authorities said.

Officers with the Northwest Division responded around 9:38 p.m. on March 25, 2026, to the 4200 block of Bonita Drive. When they arrived, they observed a male suspect firing a gun in the street.

Police said officers confronted the suspect and ordered him to drop the weapon, but he did not comply and continued advancing toward them.

An officer then fired, striking the suspect. Officers immediately rendered medical aid until Fort Worth Fire Department personnel arrived and transported the man to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

No officers or other individuals were injured during the incident.

Detectives with the Major Case Unit are investigating.
