Three Arrested in Drive-By Shooting That Killed Fort Worth Teen in His Bedroom

Kamron Lampkin and Cesar Horn (2 of the 3 suspects)

FORT WORTH, Texas — Fort Worth police have arrested three suspects in the drive-by shooting that killed a 15-year-old South Hills High School student while he was inside his bedroom, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.

Prince Washington (victim)

The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. on April 2, 2026, at a home in the 6700 block of Glenbrook Lane in South Fort Worth.

Investigators said a barrage of gunfire was fired into the home, striking Prince Semajih Washington as he lay in bed. The teenager was killed in the shooting.

Prince was a sophomore at South Hills High School and a member of the school’s basketball program. Police said his family had only been living at the home for about three months before the shooting.

Following an investigation, homicide detectives, assisted by the department’s Observation and Surveillance Team, identified three suspects as 19-year-old Kamron Dominic Lampkin, 20-year-old Cesar Andres Horton, and 17-year-old Todaireyun Que’Mar Clark.

After warrants were obtained, the Fort Worth Police Fugitive Unit, working as part of the U.S. Marshals Task Force, tracked down the suspects. Authorities said two were located in Collin County and the third was arrested in Fort Worth.

Police have not publicly released a motive.

“We will continue to stand with our community and act against those who choose violence,” the department said in a statement. “This is a shared responsibility. If you see something, say something. Together, we can protect our city and ensure a safer Fort Worth for everyone.”
