DALLAS, TX — A former Round Rock High School orchestra teacher was arrested Wednesday morning on the campus of a North Texas college in connection with a child sexual assault investigation. 27-year-old Caleb Ian Carter was taken into custody at approximately 9:15 a.m. at the Dallas College Brookhaven Campus. Carter now resides in Lewisville, TX, and he is employeed by Dallas College as a Music Lab Specialist.
The arrest was a collaborative effort between the Round Rock Police Department and the Dallas College Police Department. Following the operation, Carter was transported to the Dallas County Jail for booking.
Abuse Allegations at Round Rock High School
The investigation centers on incidents that allegedly occurred while Carter was employed as a teacher at Round Rock High School between 2022 and May 2025. According to investigators, the victim was a student of Carter's at the time. While the suspect was a district employee, authorities noted that the specific incident being investigated occurred at an off-campus location in Round Rock.
Round Rock ISD officials have not yet released a statement regarding Carter's employment history or the circumstances surrounding his departure from the district in 2025.
