Celina Man Arrested After Neighbor Dispute Turns Into Shooting

CELINA, Texas — A 38-year-old man has been arrested after a neighborhood dispute escalated into a shooting that left another resident hospitalized, according to the Celina Police Department.

Officers responded Sunday evening, May 3, to the 300 block of Tarpan Trail, where two neighbors were involved in a dispute that turned violent. Authorities said one resident was shot multiple times during the incident.

First responders with the Celina Fire Department provided critical care at the scene before transporting the victim to a local hospital. Officials said the victim is expected to recover.

Police identified the suspect as Alfred Jason-Glenn Bishop, 38, who was taken into custody later that night and booked into the Collin County Detention Facility.

Bishop is charged with five counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony. His bond has been set at $380,000, according to the Collin County Sheriff’s Office.
