IRVING, Texas — Firefighters with the Irving Fire Department responded to a structure fire Monday afternoon in northwest Irving near DFW Airport.
Crews were dispatched to a home in the 4900 block of Montego Bay and arrived on scene at approximately 3:45 p.m., where they reported visible flames. Firefighters initiated an interior attack and were able to bring the fire under control by 4:25 p.m.
Officials said the residents had already evacuated the home but were suffering from smoke inhalation. Both individuals were transported to Parkland Hospital and are reported to be in stable condition.
No firefighters were injured, and no fatalities were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
