One Dead, One Injured in Early Morning Shooting Outside Fort Worth Nightclub

FORT WORTH, Texas — Fort Worth police are investigating a fatal shooting that left one person dead and another injured outside a nightclub early Sunday morning.

Officers with the Fort Worth Police Department's Central Division were dispatched at approximately 4:30 a.m. on June 14, 2026, to the 2300 block of S. Riverside Drive, in Near East Side area of downtown, following reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they joined Fort Worth Fire Department personnel in providing emergency medical aid to the victims.

According to preliminary information, an event had been taking place at a nearby nightclub. After the business closed, an argument broke out in the parking lot area.

Investigators said a suspect produced a firearm during the disturbance and fired multiple shots, striking two individuals.

One victim suffered a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second victim was transported by private vehicle to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Police said the suspect or suspects fled the area before officers arrived.

Detectives with the Fort Worth Police Department Homicide Unit responded to the scene and have assumed responsibility for the investigation.

The identity of the deceased victim has not been released. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the victim's identity as well as the official cause and manner of death.
