DALLAS, Texas — Dallas police are investigating a fatal shooting in the North Lake Highlands area that left a woman dead Tuesday night.
Officers responded to a shooting call at approximately 9:05 p.m. on June 16, 2026, in the 9800 block of Walnut Street.
According to the preliminary investigation, an unidentified suspect shot a woman at the location before fleeing the scene.
Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the victim to a local hospital in critical condition. Despite lifesaving efforts, she later died from her injuries.
Authorities have not released the victim's identity as next of kin notifications are still pending.
Investigators have not announced any arrests or released suspect information.
