Irving Residents Invited to Help Shape Use of Federal Housing Funds

IRVING, Texas — The City of Irving is encouraging residents to provide input on how federal housing and community development funding should be used during the upcoming fiscal year.

The city's Housing and Redevelopment Division is developing the 2026-2027 Annual Action Plan, which outlines how federal funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will be spent on housing, community development, and economic opportunity programs that benefit low- and moderate-income residents.

Residents will have an opportunity to share their feedback during the second of two scheduled public hearings.

The hearing will be held Thursday, July 16, at 7 p.m. before the Irving City Council meeting in the City Council Chambers at Irving City Hall, 825 W. Irving Blvd.

Those unable to attend may submit written comments through July 17 by email to pdanko@IrvingTX.gov or by mailing or delivering them to the City's Housing and Redevelopment Division.

A draft of the 2026-2027 Annual Action Plan will be available for public review at the City Hall Information Desk, the Housing and Redevelopment Office, the South Irving Library, and online through the City's Housing and Redevelopment Publications and Reports webpage under the Action Plan section.

For additional information, residents may contact the Housing and Redevelopment Division at (972) 721-4800.
