MCKINNEY, Texas. Two McKinney residents were killed Friday evening in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Custer Road and Bedford Road, according to the McKinney Police Department.
Officers responded to the intersection at approximately 6:26 p.m. on July 17 after receiving reports of a major traffic collision involving a silver Hyundai and an orange BMW.
Police said the driver and passenger of the Hyundai were pronounced dead at the scene. The victims were identified as 77-year-old Sandra Lee Lazarus and 77-year-old William Lavich Lazarus, both of McKinney.
The driver of the BMW, identified as 51-year-old James Armont, along with the vehicle's passengers, was transported to a local hospital with injuries that police described as non-life-threatening.
Investigators have not released details about what led to the crash, and no charges have been filed.
The McKinney Police Department said the investigation remains active.
