According to Fox News report, a woman was found dead after a fire destroyed her home Tuesday night.
More than 30 firefighters were called out to the house in 3700 block of Hidalgo Road around 9:30 p.m. They had difficulty putting out the flames because it was a split level house on a hill that was also surrounded by trees.
"It took awhile to get it under control," said Irving Assistant Fire Chief Rusty Wilson on Wednesday. "We'd knocked it down, and it would flare up. Part of it also caved in."
After putting out the blaze, crews went inside the home and found the dead woman near the front of the house. Family members have told investigators that the victim was the only person who lived at the house.
Investigators do not yet know what caused the fire.
