83-year-old Assaulted by Three Brothers In East Irving

On Friday, December 18, 2015 at approximately 4:07 p.m., officers responded to an assault call in the 1300 block of Boyd Drive. Residents called 911 to report that an elderly woman had been assaulted and was lying unconscious on the ground. Officers and paramedics arrived to find the victim, an 83 years old female, suffering from life-threatening injuries. The victim was immediately transported to Parkland Hospital for treatment. The initial investigation revealed the victim had been assaulted by three young adult male suspects who fled the scene on foot immediately thereafter.

Detectives conducted further investigation and determined the suspects had come to the home looking for an acquaintance. During that time, the victim (who is a neighbor) walked to the home to visit someone and was attacked. One suspect (Jesse Perkins) punched, kicked and stomped the victim before all three ran away. There is no apparent motive for the attack. The victim remains on life-support but is not expected to survive.

The suspects were identified as three brothers: Thomas Perkins, 18 years old; Edward Perkins, 19 years old and Jesse Perkins, 20 years old. Detectives obtained warrants for their arrest and all three were taken into custody. They are currently in the Irving Jail on a charge of Aggravated Assault – Serious Bodily Injury with the bond set at $100,000.00. Their booking photos are attached.

The investigation is ongoing as detectives attempt to determine a motive for the assault.
