On December 22, 2015 at approximately 7:22 p.m., the Irving Police Department responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex in the 800 block of S. Nursery Road. Officers arrived to find an adult male victim lying in the driveway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Parkland Hospital but did not survive.
Officers learned that prior to the shooting the victim and an acquaintance were in the parking lot having a conversation. During that time they were approached by two adult black male suspects both of whom were armed with handguns. The suspects attempted to rob the victims of their wallets however both victims began to fight back. During the struggle, one victim broke free and began to run away. At that point, his attacker fired multiple shots striking the victim. Both suspects were seen running away before getting into a dark colored four door car. They were last seen driving away from the complex.
The investigation is still in the early stages and suspect information is very limited.
