The Irving Police Department is investigating a fatal hit & run crash involving a cyclist that occurred on Sunday, August 7, 2016 in the 400 block of W. Shady Grove Road at Rindie Street.
At approximately 5:58 a.m. officers responded to the area on reports of a critically injured person laying in the roadway. Officers located a woman who had apparently been struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle. The victim was transported to Parkland Hospital but did not survive. Her identity is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.
The suspect vehicle may be an early 2000’s model Nissan Altima driven by a Hispanic male who is approximately 30 years-of-age with a pony tail hairstyle and approximately 5’ 4” tall.
Update: The victim in the fatal Hit & Run crash that occurred early Sunday morning is Heather Ann Loughlin 40 years-of-age.
