The Irving Police Department has announced that this summer they will begin a "Summer Hoops" program for students ages 10-14. This free program is designed to provide a safe and secure option for this age group of kids who might otherwise have trouble staying busy during the summer. Students will be able to practice their fundamental basketball skills, learn team work, and get to know their School Resource Officers outside the school setting.
